After an hour and a half nap after work - it's tiring learning so much new stuff - met Abby for dinner at Lone Star! An old favourite from Queen's days - but now I don't have to worry about scrimping or sharing! :)
Started off with chips and salsa - the salsa has changed somewhat and not quite as good as it used to be. Thought I'd waver from the fajitas - which I think I have always eaten at Lone Star - but couldn't do it. And am GLAD that I didn't!! Did get a different kind - Chili Jalapeno Fire which was mesquite-grilled chicken topped with Texas-inspired sauce, with spice and sweetness. Was served with all the regular toppings - hello guac! - along with a "pepita mole sauce which was delish. Ate way too much and loved every bite!
And it's the weekend ... always love to sleep in, but after getting up at 0545 for three days, I am super excited for tomorrow's sleep in! Heidi and Diana come tomorrow too - should be a great weekend!!

Day 3
Another good day at training - can't believe it's only the 2nd day there - have learned so much already!
Was tired after work - and wanted to stay in my comfy pants - so decided on take out pizza from Wooden Heads. Had read some blogs about what pizza was the "best" here and decided on the Nonna Mela pizza (apple butter, roast garlic, cheddar cheese, sweet onions and blackened chicken) along with a starter Caesar salad. The salad was pretty good - a different sort of dressing - made from scratch probably but the pizza was awesome! The sweetness of the apple butter with the tart of the garlic and cheese ... mmm.
I really need to get running ... all this eating without extra exercising is going to be bad for my waist line! :)
Day 2
first day at dialysis training! our instructor is great and things are going well so far. it's amazing how much there is to learn but I really think I'm going to like it!
had a nice walk up & down Princess Street - it's an odd feeling to be back in Kingston. Familiar and yet feels like another lifetime that I was here!
Decided on sushi for dinner at Sima Sushi - man i love sushi! I took a long time to decide, but finally settled on #17 K-Rock which was a deep fried roll with spicy salmon, crabmeat, cream cheese & cucumber and #23 Crispy Crunch - shrimp tempura, crabmeat, avocado & cucumber roll. They were quite different and both delish so I couldn't pick a favourite. Their menu is quite large, so I'm sure i'll be back!

Day 1
arrived into Ktown around 6:30pm. got to my beautiful home for the month and got settled in & unpacked. lots of room for any visitors!
first eat was Saigon Delights where i got #6 which was rice noodles & grilled chicken topped with greens and peanuts, with spring rolls on the side. I think this is what I used to order all the time - and although it was tasty, i feel like it could have used a bit more spice. the sauce was delish and the spring rolls were just like I remembered them - so yum!
